The Guild Complex, a community-based literary arts center, offers writing workshops taught by experienced instructors at the American Library Association. Workshops range from 8-week writing courses in various genres including poetry, fiction, nonfiction, humor, playwriting, performance poetry and literature in combination with other arts. Workshops are held year-round in 8-week terms.
Gotham Writers' Workshop launched its online division, WritingClasses.com, in June of 1997. The online campus offers interactive, craft-oriented classes and resources for writers. As virtual replicates of the NYC classes, the online courses are accessible 24 hours a day and are taught by the school's expert faculty.
